The son of Malaysia’s richest man and CEO of Kerry Properties has joined DBS’ Hong Kong unit as a board member.
DBS Hong Kong has appointed Kuok Khoon Hua as a member of its board of directors, according to a statement, effective immediately.
Kuok is currently chairman and CEO of Hong Kong-based Kerry Properties, chairman of Kerry Holdings, director of Kerry Group and Kuok (Singapore). He also serves as vice chairman and non-executive director of Kerry Logistics Network, a non-executive and non-independent director of Singapore-listed Wilmar International and a director of New York-listed Sea Limited.
Kuok is the youngest son of Robert Kouk, Malaysia’s richest man with diversified interests, including in Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. As of October 7, the 101-year old patriarch had a net worth of $12.6 billion, according to Forbes.
