«I would like to extend a warm welcome to Keith. His standing in the accounting profession, rich experience in the financial services industry and knowledge of capital markets will be important assets to the SFC Board in fulfilling its mission to develop Hong Kong’s financial markets, address risks and protect investors,» commented SFC chair Tim Lui.
Re-Appointment
In addition, SFC re-appointed Chew Fook-aun as a non-executive director also to a two-year term. He has more than 30 years of experience in accounting, auditing and finance in the UK and Hong Kong.
Pogson and Chew’s terms will commence on 20 October 2024 and 1 January 2025, respectively.
«The SFC would also like to thank outgoing Non-Executive Director Agnes Chan for her valuable contribution to enhancing the SFC’s role as a financial regulator with her wealth of expertise and experience in financial services during her six-year tenure,» the regulator added.
