Varun Arora to succeed Nithin Chandra and oversee operations in key markets.
Kearney, a global management consultancy, announced on Wednesday that it had appointed Varun Arora as the new managing partner for Southeast Asia, succeeding Nithin Chandra, who had led the unit since 2022.
The step is retroactively effective to 1 January 2025. According to Kearney, it will help the firm accelerate growth across the region.
Oversee Regional Operations
Arora is based in Singapore and his remit includes the city-state itself, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
He will be responsible for «driving client impact and expanding market opportunities», Kearney indicated.
Long Tenure
Kearney established its Southeast Asia unit in 1990 and it now supports clients across a wide variety of industries, including technology, telecommunications, consumer goods, retail, healthcare, financial services, energy, automotive, transportation, and process industries.
Arora has been with Kearney for over 17 years and he follows Chandra's «exceptional» tenure under which the unit achieved record performance, opened an office in Manila, and expanded the Bangkok operation. Chandra will remain at Kearney and will focus on strategic initiatives and client growth.
Leadership Rotation
Arora's appointment is part of a regular leadership rotation in the consultancy's Asia Pacific business, alongside the appointment of Siddharth Jain as managing partner and Head of India, also effective 1 January 2025.
