A unit at luxury condo 39 Conduit Road in the Mid-Levels of Hong Kong has apparently been sold for HK$93,000 per square foot, a record price for Asia.
The extravagant units boast panoramic Victoria Harbour and Peak views. The unidentified buyer is said to have paid HK$433.8 million for a 4,664 square-foot apartment on the 45th floor of the building.
According to the developers website 39 Conduit Road units exemplify extravagant living with private swimming pool and Jacuzzi on the roof deck. Kitchens are meticulously equipped with Bulthaup kitchen cabinets, Sub-Zero fridge and wine cellar, Miele electrical appliances, while Jacuzzi bathtub in the master bathroom pampers the mind and soul.
However in spite of the eye watering price for this unit analysts predict that residential sales will continue to soften in Hong Kong as mortgage lending parameters are tightened.
