According to reports from New York the celebrity realtor Dolly Lenz has won the sole agency to sell the triplex penthouse perched on top of the One Madison condominium. The property, which is owned by media magnate Rupert Murdoch, is on the market for a staggering $72m.
The penthouse is made up of floors 58 through to 60 and measures 6,850 square feet. It boasts a wraparound terrace with far reaching views of the Hudson and East rivers and of course the Empire State Building. It was purchased off plan as raw space and is currently under construction. As Mr. Murdoch has never occupied the space this must surely represent one of the most audacious flips in history.
Dolly Lenz Real Estate LLC operates under the “Private Banking” model providing advisory services to their clients in every part of the globe and at all price points. Very few buyers will be interested in the property but several Chinese billionaires are sure to have been sounded out. Alibaba’s Jack Ma, Wanda Group chairman Wang Jianlin or Robin Li founder and CEO of Baidu could fit the bill as all have US business interests.
