J.P. Morgan Asset Management (“JPMAM”) yesterday announced the launch of its J.P. Morgan Insights App1 (the “App”) on tablets for Android in Asia Pacific following the successful launch of the App on the iPad last year. This important extension underscores the firm’s commitment to empowering financial professionals with our insights-driven business intelligence.
The English language version of the App on tablets for Android is being rolled-out in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. In addition, the Japanese language version is available in Japan and other Asian language versions will be rolled out to meet the increasing need of local users.
The centrepiece of the App is the interactive Guide to the Markets (Guide), featuring talking points and audio commentary from JPMAM’s Global Strategy team and offering users the ability to re-arrange, save and share their favourite slides with clients and prospects.
Tai Hui, Chief Market Strategist Asia at JPMAM said, “Following very encouraging response with the Insights App on the iPad, we are very excited to see our best-in-class digital client experience and award-winning interactive tool being extended to the Android platform. With the launch of the App on the tablets for Android, I believe it will further reach out to investment consultants and their clients to help them make sense of the markets and better understand what is happening to their investment.”
James Shi, Head of Market Insights Programme Management Asia at JPMAM said, “Since the debut of the iOS version, the App has recorded over 11,000 downloads across the region. In addition to the recently added functionalities, the App’s availability on Google PlayTM is expected to take the App’s usage and impact to the next level given Android’s prominence in the region. Clearly, the App is a powerful tool to provide clients with personalised access to our entire library of multimedia resources and intellectual capital across all major asset classes, markets and investment themes worldwide.”
JPMAM has launched its Market Insights programme across Asia in 2012. The Market Insights programme and the Guide to the Markets (Guide) already have a strong following with approximately 32,0002 subscribers across the region in 2Q2015.
The Guide is currently available in six languages – English, traditional Chinese (Hong Kong & Taiwan styles), simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean – with the English version being first to market and available on the second business day of each quarter.
