Citibank Singapore (Citibank) announced that Sherry Leong has been appointed Head of Secured Finance Solutions for Singapore with immediate effect. Ms Leong will be responsible for leading and growing the business covering personal home loans and auto loans. Ms Leong reports directly to Mr Han Kwee Juan, Chief Executive Officer and Country Business Manager for Citibank Singapore Limited, and functionally to Mr Tan Chia Seng, Head of International Mortgages and Asia Region Head, Consumer Secured Lending Business.
Yilong Du has been appointed by Latham & Watkins as a corporate partner in its Hong Kong office. Previously an executive director and senior counsel at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong, Du focuses on equity capital markets deals in mainland China, Hong Kong and the U.S., as well as cross-border M&A.
Aaron Russell-Davison has departed from his role as head of debt capital markets for Standard Chartered. Russell-Davison had been head of capital markets for ASEAN since July 2013, having joined StanChart in November 2009 as head of Asian bond syndicate.
Dominique Barazzone has joined Thirdrock as a client adviser. He will report to Jason Lai, CEO and founder of Thirdrock, who previously worked as head of China at ABN AMRO Private Bank in Hong Kong.
JP Morgan has made two senior hires to its China investment banking business. Xueqian Pu has joined as vice-chairman of China global investment banking (GIB), and Kelvin Cho joined as head of Greater China equity capital markets.
Temasek International (TI), the management arm of Singapore state investment company Temasek, has promoted one of its three presidents to chief executive. Lee Theng Kiat took up the CEO post on October 1. He is in charge of day-to-day investment operations and oversees the company's commercial strategies and portfolio.
The Philippine National Bank (PNB) has named new top executives for its Retail Banking Group and the PNB Savings Bank (PNBSB).
PNB appointed Bernardo Tocmo to head the Retail Banking Group as executive vice president and Jovencio Hernandez, who previously held the position, was named as new PNBSB president.
Hans-Peter Borgh is said to have left ABN AMRO’s private bank after joining from ANZ in 2012 as its CCO for the private banking business in Asia and Middle East.
