BNP Paribas Wealth Management has announced a number of strategic appointments in South East Asia, underlying its commitment to building a market-leading franchise in the region.

Inge Kua is assuming the new role of Senior Advisor to Stephanie Lair, Head of Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia Markets, in addition to her current position as Senior Banker. Inge is a veteran of 23 years with the bank and has been instrumental in growing the business in these markets. In her expanded role, she is responsible for deepening the bank’s focus on the mega wealth client segment which is an integral part of BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s business development plan.

Adding further depth to the core team defining the Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia markets, Jonathan Ng has been named Managing Director, Market Leader for Indonesia, reporting to Stephanie Lair. Jonathan leads the Indonesia market team and is responsible for driving business growth in this important market. He brings over 20 years’ industry experience to the role and was most recently an Executive Director and Desk Head for Indonesia Ultra High Net Worth Division at UBS.

Also, Sharon Yee is joining Jonathan’s team as Team Head for Indonesia. Sharon has accumulated 13 years of experience in wealth management and banking industry. She joins from UBS serving Ultra High Net Worth clients in Indonesia and was actively involved in growing the focus with family office clients.

All of these appointments are newly created roles based in Singapore and come into effect immediately.
