Melbourne based bank ANZ has appointed its first woman to lead ANZ Pacific in a newly created role of Regional Executive – Pacific Islands.
Tessa Price will now take up the new position, she will report to ANZ Group Executive and ANZ New Zealand CEO David Hisco. Each of the Pacific country heads will now report to Price.
«Simplification is a strong part of ANZ Pacific’s business strategy and at UDC Finance Tessa Price successfully drove a simplification agenda. Her experiences will be useful as we look to remove duplication and streamline processes for our Pacific customers and customer facing staff,» said Hisco.
Former CEO Mike Smith
Until the end of last year Price was ANZ Group CEO Mike Smith’s Chief of Staff, based in Melbourne, and previous to that was CEO of ANZ Bank New Zealand subsidiary UDC Finance, based in Auckland, for more than three years.
Price previously held roles in both Australia and New Zealand with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Saatchi & Saatchi, AMEX and Esanda Insurance.
