The French bank Societe Generale has made two senior promotions. There will be new leaders for Shipping & Offshore Finance and of Loan Syndicate and Sales, in Asia Pacific.
In a press release the Paris headquartered bank announced the appointment of David Gore as Head of Shipping & Offshore Finance for Asia Pacific and Gareth Williams as Head of Loan Syndicate and Sales, also for Asia Pacific.
Gore will report to Sadia Ricke, Head of Global Finance for Asia Pacific, and Paul Taylor, Global Head of Shipping Finance. In the new role Gore will manage the Asia Pacific Shipping Finance team with an objective to originate and execute a range of Structured Finance to the shipping and offshore sectors.
Gore will also replace Gareth Williams, who will now take up a new role as Head of Loan Syndicate and Sales for Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Williams will report to Sadia Ricke, Head of Global Finance for Asia Pacific, and Terence Shanahan, Global Head of Syndicate.
Distribution Trend
Williams will now manage the Loan Syndicate and Sales team in Asia Pacific, his mandate will also involve originating, managing loan positions and ensuring efficient loan distribution in a context of a growing trend for distribution. Williams is replacing Jose-Antonio Olano, who will start a new role as Managing Director, Cross Business Development in London on 1 May.
Both roles are effective from 1 May 2016.
