Investec Australia has appointed two new senior additions to its Corporate Advisory and Financial Sponsors Transaction Group teams.
Chris Stefanovski has been appointed as Managing Director in the Corporate Advisory team. In his new role, Stefanovski will work alongside Ben Smith who heads up the Corporate Advisory team.
Prior to joining Investec Stefanovski was Partner and Head of M&A, Sydney in KPMG’s Deal Advisory Mergers & Acquisitions team. He also worked at ABN Amro and Macquarie, according to a report in «The Australian» (paywall).
New Inhouse Group
Investec also announced the appointment of Uyi Ighodaro to lead the newly created Financial Sponsors Transaction Group, a partnership between Investec’s Corporate Advisory and Corporate & Acquisition Finance divisions.
Ighodaro will focus on the origination of transactions involving private equity firms active in Australia across advisory, financing and hedging. Ighodaro was previously a senior investment banker at Barclays in Australia where he was Head of the Financial Sponsors Group and has been involved in numerous advisory and financings for a number of international and domestic private equity firms.
