Switerland's UBS, has announced an internal restructuring that will see a senior member of its Investment Banking unit join its Chief Investment Office as Global Chief Economist.
In a press release the Zurich headquartered bank says that Paul Donovan will join UBS' Chief Investment Office from UBS Investment Bank.

In his new role will coordinate the Chief Investment Office's regional economic views, take responsibility for its global economic views, and continue as a member of UBS Wealth Management's Global Investment Committee. He also will continue with his extensive Wealth Management client coverage activities globally.

A UBS Veteran
Donovan is known to be a prolific writer, with a particularly strong interest in environmental matters. He has co-authored «From Red to Green? How the financial credit crunch could bankrupt the environment.»
He joined UBS in 1992 as an intern in the Fixed Income economics team and since 2004 has been a Managing Director. Most recently he has been acting co-head of UBS Investment Bank Economics.
Paul Donovan has an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University. He is an Honorary Fellow of St Anne’s College, Oxford, sitting on its investment committee and development board, and is a member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Circle of Oxford.
