Australian bank ANZ has ratified the appointment of a Chief Economist. The move completes recent management calibration at the Melbourne based bank.
Richard Yetsenga joined ANZ in 2011 and has been Acting Chief Economist since March 2016. Prior to this he was Head of Financial Markets Research at ANZ and has held senior economic research roles at HSBC, Deutsche Bank and the Australian Government.
In this role Yetsenga will lead the ANZ Research team that provides economic analysis on the Australian economy, global financial markets, and the economies of major trading partners.
«Richard’s vast economics experience in financial markets both here in Australia and across the region makes him ideally qualified to lead ANZ’s research team. Since taking on the acting role of Chief Economist he has made a strong contribution to the team through his values-led leadership, as well as having a commercial impact on the bank’s broader business,» said Shayne Collins, Managing Director Markets (pictured left).
As ANZ Chief Economist Yetsenga will also be responsible for co-ordinating ANZ’s regional economic and financial markets research capability across Asia, New Zealand, Europe and America.
