Trident Trust the independent provider of corporate, trust and fund services to the financial services sector has appointed a new Managing Director in Singapore.
The Trident Trust Group has appointed Sean Coughlan as Managing Director of its Singapore office in a move that will support the continued growth of Trident Trust’s business across Asia, the company said in a release.
Coughlan's career in the Trust sector spans 25 years and he has held a number of senior positions within the trust industry in both Singapore and Europe at both independent and institutional trust companies.
Prior to taking on the Trident role he was the Managing Director at EFG Trust in Jersey and before that the managing Director for Asiaciti Trust in Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner.

Coughlan will report to Markus Grossmann, Regional Manager for Trident Trust’s offices in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore and Zurich and the Trident Fiduciaries (Middle East) office in Cyprus.

Trident Trust’s Singapore office was founded in 2010 when the firm also acquired Commerzbank International Trust, Trident Trust currently operates out of 34 offices across 24 jurisdictions.
