Mambu, the SaaS banking platform provider, has opened its first office in the APAC region and appointed a new regional head.

The new office in Singapore will headed up by Chan Chiou Hao who recently joined the company. The office reflects Mambu’s expansion and commitment to existing clients in the region whilst supporting ongoing plans for growth, according to a media release sent on Thursday.

Chiou Hao has over 18 years of sales and marketing experience having worked with companies including Justlogin.com, Salesforce.com, QlikTech and SumTotal Systems. He has also founded two venture capital backed Internet companies which were eventually acquired.

Rapidly Growing Customer Base

He graduated with a BBA from National University of Singapore and completed his MBA at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

German firm Mambu’s APAC clients are spread across China and South East Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand, accounting for nearly a third of the company’s total business to date. With Singapore becoming a key fintech hub this new office was a natural progression for the company and will allow Mambu to improve its service coverage and support for its rapidly growing customer base in the region which include lending, telco and other and financial institutions.

«We chose Singapore as the location for our APAC office as the region is seeing tremendous growth in fintech, banking innovation and MSME financing,» said Eugene Danilkis, CEO of Mambu.
