Franklin Templeton Investments has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director, Head of Investment Solutions, Asia.

Based in Singapore, Simon Coxeter will take on responsibility for developing and managing multi asset, multi strategy investment solutions for institutional and retail clients in Asia, excluding Japan and Australia, the investment manager said.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Coxeter was a Principal for the investment arm of consultancy firm Mercer, where he evaluated multi asset and equity strategies.

Before joining Mercer in 2010, he managed the Singapore operations of a European real estate private equity firm. In 2006, he co-founded AsiaSource Capital, an alternatives investment boutique based in Singapore and New York, where he launched and managed an Asia-focused fund-of-hedge-funds.

Broadening Solutions Platform

In his new role Coxeter will partner with distribution channels across the firm on all solutions related to client opportunities across the region.

He will also work with clients to create appropriate «solutions», consisting of multi asset portfolios that leverage both fund-of-fund structures and direct investing through ETFs or other structured vehicles, to meet their needs for complex, customized portfolios.
