Standard Chartered is enhancing its capabilities in Financial Markets by recruiting across a range of disciplines and has named 10 new appointments to its credit solutions team.

The emerging markets and Asia focused bank is growing its credit trading capabilities with more than a dozen hires to the flow credit and credit solutions teams in key markets including Singapore and Hong Kong in Asia, along with London and New York. 

Singapore Moves

In Singapore Standard Chartered (SCB) has hired Panai Avasadanond as an Executive Director for the Loans and Special Situations team (LSS). Avasadanond joins SCB from Morgan Stanley. 

Also in the Lion City Sandeep Saboo is now a Director of the LSS team. Gerald Ng is also named as a Director in the LSS unit. Previously he worked for emerging markets investment manager, Spinnaker Capital.

Finally in Singapore the former Credit Suisse Fixed Income Director Cedric Florens joins the investment products team.

Hong Kong

In Hong Kong Robert McGinley has been named as Head of Flow Credit Trading Asia, McGinley previously worked for J.P. Morgan.

Zhu Ning  joins the Hong Kong LSS team as a Director as does Sean Kim who is also a LSS team Director, he joins from U.S. firm Morgan Stanley.

Hiroyuki Wakimoto has joined as a Director, based in Hong Kong, to focus on offshore renminbi credit trading. Wakimoto joins from Japanese bank Mizuho.
