A new partnership will now allow Morgan Stanley financial advisors to interact with clients through text messages.

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) announced it has partnered with Twilio, a cloud communications platform to help enhance financial advisor-client communications by enabling MSWM advisors to text message with clients.

Compliant Communications

Twilio's cloud based architecture provides scalable, secure APIs which will be integrated into MSWM's digital applications available to clients and financial advisors. This will enable the bank's advisors to converse with clients via archived text messages.

Client texting is one of several initiatives MSWM is launching to align compliant financial advisor-client communications with the way people communicate and part of a comprehensive digital strategy that will help its advisors deepen and broaden their client relationships.

Contemporary Channels

Morgan Stanley is currently rolling out texting capabilities to Financial Advisors. The Company anticipates expanding the integration of Twilio’s APIs to include additional applications and functionalities, such as the integration of video content, which Financial Advisors can leverage to communicate with clients.

Earlier this week finews.asia reported that Switzerland's UBS and Singaporean technology partner FinChat were teaming up to provide secured social chat communication to clients and advisors in the Asia Pacific region.
