Schroders has renamed its Wealth Management business in Asia, which formerly traded as Cazenove Capital.
The Hong Kong office changed its trading name to Schroders Wealth Management earlier this month and Singapore will follow in early September, the firm said in a press release.
«Schroders is a well-known and respected brand under which to develop our wealth management and private banking business in Asia,» said Andrew Ross, Global Head of Wealth Management, Schroders.
«We have a unique offering in the market and this combined with the Schroders brand strength will be key to our next stage of growth,» added Ross.
Asian Acquisition
The firm is growing organically in Asia and currently working on alliances across Southeast Asia.
However it is known to be also seriously considering acquisitions to accelerate Asian growth.
Former Credit Suisse banker Simon Lints heads the Southeast Asia unit out of Singapore, while the Hong Kong business is led by Sandy Dudgeon.
As of June 2017 Schroders Wealth Management globally manages $56.6 billion of assets for private clients and charities with offices in Europe and Asia.
