Schroders Capital, the specialist private markets business of the global investment management firm, has launched a generative AI analyst platform, according to an announcement sent Thursday.

It indicated that the platform was designed to accelerate the analysis of large volumes of data that will allow private equity analysts to focus on strategic investment activities.

«It follows comprehensive in-house testing and further builds on the technology evolution across the Schroders Group, which has been actively deploying generative AI across the business for a substantial period,» Schroders Capital said in the announcement.

The proprietary platform is for internal use only and uses the technical expertise of data scientists together with the private equity analysts.

Automatic Screening

«Our PE specialists can now automatically screen extensive volumes of data, accelerate due diligence processes and generate a significant portion of draft investment summaries in significantly less time. By supporting with the creation of draft investment memos, the platform has the potential to become a key part of the investment process,» Schroders indicated.

The tool is subject to «continual and extensive» human oversight and control, with Schroders indicating that an AI assistant leveraging the latest generative models is being used by over 1,000 of its staff across the firm every day.
