Investment management firm Fiera Capital appointed a new global president and chief operating officer.
With effect from November 14, 2017 Vincent Duhamel will take up the new role overseeing distribution operations and global corporate functional units such as Legal and Compliance, Risk, Technology, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations as well as Human Resources.
The Montreal headquartered firm with more than $125 billion Canadian dollars in assets under management as of June 30, 2017, announced the hire on their website.
Asian Leader
From 2011 until joining Fiera Capital, Duhamel held the role of capital partner and chief executive Asia at Lombard Odier & Co. From 1997 to 2011, he was the CEO of Sail Advisors a privately owned hedge fund sponsor.
Before that he was managing director at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong and CEO of State Street Global Advisors, also in Hong Kong, where he moved in 1997, after setting up the asset management division of State Street in Canada.
Lombard Odier Changes
Following a management reshuffle Duhamel became chairman of the Asia Board of Lombard Odier on 1 July. Vincent Magnenat, chief executive of the Singapore office and Asia head of Private Banking since early 2014, took over as chief executive officer of Asia in addition to his current role as chief executive officer of the Singapore office.
