Manulife Real Estate announced a senior addition to its real estate investment team.
Kenny Lam takes on the role of managing director, head of Asia Real Estate Investments, with immediate effect. Lam will be located at Manulife’s Lee Garden office in Hong Kong.
In this new role, he will source and execute acquisitions in Asia and assist with the growth of Manulife Real Estate’s acquisition platform into new markets, the firm said in a statement.
Prior to joining Manulife, Lam held senior roles at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), Ping An Real Estate and J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
Earlier this year Manulife Real Estate acquired a landmark commercial property in Singapore. DBS Bank sold the PwC building at Cross Street a 28-floor office building near Raffles Place in a deal that valued the skyscraper at $774 million Singapore dollars.
