State Street Global Advisors appointed a new head of portfolio strategists for Asia ex-Japan. The banker so far worked for competitor Blackrock.
State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) named Johnnie Yung as head of portfolio strategists for Asia ex-Japan, with effect from October 30, 2017. Yung will report to Jonathan Shead, head of portfolio strategists, APAC, who is based in Australia.
Yung most recently served as director and head of beta strategies portfolio management, Asia ex-Japan, for Blackrock, where he led a team of portfolio managers, SSGA said in a statement.
Development of Portfolio Recommendations
Prior to that he held a number of senior roles including portfolio manager at Dacheng Fund Management and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, head of strategic and business development at DBS Bank, and senior director, product development, at RBS Bank.
Based in Hong Kong, Yung will be responsible for developing portfolio recommendations, and presenting SSGA investment strategies and solutions to institutional investors in the Asia ex-Japan region.
