Private bank J. Safra Sarasin nabbed another ultra-high net worth private banker from a rival. She joins a number of bankers that the Brazilian-Swiss boutique has added in Asia this year.
Onnah Liew has joined Bank J. Safra Sarasin’s ultra high net worth team as a managing director of client advisory in Singapore. She will be a team head and report to Vinay Gandhi, the Singapore-based head in the ultra-rich segment, the firm said in a press release.
Previously, Liew worked at Deutsche Bank as a team leader for southeast Asia. Prior to joining Deutsche in 2007, she was a team leader at ABN Amro's Singapore branch. She has also worked for Credit Suisse, OCBC Bank and KPMG, as a banker and in finance and auditing.
Safra-Sarasin has made a number of hires in Asia this year in both Hong Kong and Singapore.
