KPMG in Singapore bolstered its digital engagement capacity with a rare acquisition, snapping up a mobile application developer and consultancy.
The accounting firm acquired the Singapore and Vietnam businesses of Rainmaker Labs, a Singapore-based enterprise developer and consultancy focused on mobile applications for businesses, KPMG Singapore said in a statement on Wednesday. The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
«This acquisition primes us to scale our in-house digital capabilities and increase our bench strength in digital innovation, co-creation and solutions deployment,» said Ong Pang Thye, KPMG's managing partner in Singapore.
The move, KPMG Singapore's first acquisition in recent years, signals a shift to providing customers mobile-focused digital solutions, including the creation of digital platforms and applications.
