Last month, U.S. investment manager Fidelity hired Johann Santer for a new role as head of private banking in Asia, as finews.asia already reported. Previously, Santer was a managing director and senior advisor at Swiss bank, Julius Baer where he was head of investment specialists for funds in Hong Kong.
Now, Julius Baer has filled the vacancy. Wendy Kwan (pictured left), until recently head of private bank distribution in Hong Kong at asset manager Blackrock, will replace Santer.
The bank declined to comment on the move. Kwan, who joined Blackrock in May 2015, has more than 16 years in the mutual fund industry. She is specialized in new business development, intermediary distribution and branding.
Previously she worked at Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas Asset Management, Invesco and Fidelity Investments.
