Investment manager Fidelity International poached from Swiss bank Julius Baer to fill a new position in Asia.
The international arm of U.S. fund manager Fidelity is hiring Johann Santer for a new role as head of private banking in Asia, the company said in a media statement on Monday. Santer was poached from Julius Baer, where he was head of investment specialists for funds in Hong Kong.
At Fidelity, he is tasked with helping Fidelity’s global teams to expand its business with private banks in Asia. The company clearly has China in focus: last year, Fidelity's private fund management company in Shanghai became the first global asset manager to register in China as a private fund management company.
