Citi becomes the first bank in Asia-Pacific with a loyalty redemption program offering the complete range of Apple merchandise.
Citi customers in Asia-Pacific will be able to use their miles and credit card points to redeem items from the full range of Apple products on its Citi ThankYou rewards digital redemption platform, the bank said in a press release.
Customers will also be able to use a combination of cash and points to redeem Apple products, including the Apple watch, iPad, and Mac notebooks.
«As the leading digital bank in Asia, we continue to enhance our service platform to allow our customers to make their rewards redemptions digitally for added ease, convenience and flexibility,» said Sergio Zanatti, head of cards and loans at Citi Asia Pacific.
Available in Singapore Next Year
The bank said Apple product redemption program is already open to customers in Australia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan will follow in 2019.
The bank cited more than 30 percent growth in the number of redeemers on the platform across nine markets in the region, in the nine months to September 30.
