Veteran banker and Market Head resigns after 11 months with BNP.
Less than a year after he first assumed the role, BNP Paribas' Head of Non Resident Indian (NRI) business in Hong Kong and Singapore has resigned from the bank. Vikas Jaidka, joined the French lender in March 2018 from Citibank, where he held a variety of senior positions developing the bank's NRI platform in Asia Pacific.
At BNP Paribas, Jaidka reported into Samir Bimal, Head of Indian Markets. At the time of Jaidka's appointment, Pierre Vrielink, CEO Wealth Management Asia Pacific had reiterated BNP Paribas' commitment to the NRI segment, adding that he was confident «that under Vikas' leadership, we will continue to build our capabilities to meet the diverse needs of clients in this key market.»
Sources insist Jaidka is likely to continue his career banking NRI clients, possible with one of the larger banks in Asia.
