Hong Kong-based multi-family office and asset manager Raffles Family Office has made a senior hire to support its Greater China push.
Raffles Family Office has appointed a managing director for its Greater China business – Stella Kong, who will also join the firm's management team, it said in a statement on Tuesday.
Kong, who will split her time between Hong Kong and Shanghai, will lead Raffles Family Office’s business expansion in Greater China, where it sees «significant opportunities and rapidly growing interest for family office services, fuelled by a large pool of wealth and rising need for wealth management services,» the statement said.
Kong brings more than three decades of experience in the banking industry spanning four countries in the wealth management industry and has held both senior management and client relationship positions at Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered Bank, ABN AMRO, Sarasin, UBS, Deutsche Bank, Natwest and Citibank.
Asia Expansion
Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Raffles has been busy filling its ranks as it sets its sights on regional expansion. In April, it announced the hire of a managing director for relationship management, Marvin Koh, formerly senior director at DBS Private Bank.
It then brought on board former CEO of Schroders Wealth Management in Singapore Simon Lints as strategic advisor, a newly created role based in Singapore that focuses on driving the firm’s strategic expansion and business development in Asia, and Southeast Asia in particular.
