Digitalization of Asian Private Banking in Numbers
Standard Chartered Private Bank:
- H1 global adoption rate of «SC Private Banking» app increased 12 percent
- Number of active users increased 14 percent
- Usage of investment advisory publications increased 2.5-fold
- Client attendance for webinars hosted between April and July: 450
- Started client onboarding via video calls instead of in-person meetings with enhanced account-opening capabilities including usage of e-signatures
- Enhanced digital transformation of internal operations including greater usage of e-instructions and the removal of «all paper exchanges between departments»
Bank of Singapore:
- Over 70 percent of client accounts signed up to digital services, up from 50 percent at the end of January 2020
- Increased demand in the use of webinars and other virtual events with consistent oversubscription
- Adoption rate of digital services has been especially strong from clients in Singapore, Malaysia and Greater China markets
