He succeeds Sundara Raj Ramamurthy, who will take on a Global Client Relationship Partner role as well as other leadership responsibilities across the PwC Malaysia and Vietnam firm after leading the regional business over the last four years.
PwC South East Asia Consulting has appointed Simon Gealy as its next chief executive, the firm announced on Thursday.
Based in Singapore, Gealy will oversee PwC South East Asia Consulting, which is more than 1,000 people strong, with operations across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Gealy joined PwC in 1994 and was admitted as a Partner in New York in 1999. His previous leadership roles include leader of the Global Capital Markets group, New York Metro Deals leader and, most recently, Financial Services leader for PwC Japan from 2014 to 2019.
Strong Demand Expected
«Structural shifts in the business landscape in both Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian region continue to push companies to reinvent the way they do business. In line with this, we expect a greater demand for consulting services in the coming years,» Yeoh Oon Jin, PwC Singapore executive chairman, said in the announcement.
