Capital Group bolsters its Asia business with the appointment of a president and head of its Japan client group.
Tetsuya Koizumi joins as president of Capital International Kabushiki Kaisha (K.K.) and head of Japan client group, according to a statement, after most recently serving as a representative director and president at Deutsche Asset Management (DWS). He reports to Guy Henriques, head of Europe and Asia client group for Capital Group.
«Capital Group in Japan is known for its long-term focus, independent research and having diverse viewpoints in the managing of portfolios – with equally strong equity and fixed income client offerings,» Koizumi said. «I am honored to be given this opportunity to bear the torch of this outstanding team.»
Koizumi is a 30-year industry veteran and in addition to DWS, he spent 14 years at Fidelity Investments heading its pension business divisions. He began his career with Nippon Life where he spent over a decade in its Japan and U.S. office.
