The border between Hong Kong and mainland China reopened on Monday, marking a reversal of years of Covid-related travel restrictions.
The Hong Kong-China border has officially reopened on Monday, according to a statement, resuming normal travel.
Daily quotas and testing have been dropped though a 48-hour pre-arrival polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test will be required for those coming from Hong Kong if they have travelled overseas in the previous seven days.
The reopening will be welcome news for the financial sector as greater ease of travel will likely boost cross-border activities between Hong Kong and the mainland.
