Following the takeover of Credit Suisse, UBS is reportedly planning to rebuild its wealth management team in India with new hires.
UBS seeks to rebuild its wealth management team in India with plans to hire at least seven relationship managers, bringing the advisory headcount to 25, and two executives in portfolio management services, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing unnamed sources. APAC wealth management co-head Young Jin Yee is scheduled for a visit to India in September.
As a result of the Credit Suisse takeover, UBS has returned to India’s wealth market after exiting nearly a decade ago. It joins a number of other rival private banks that are eyeing onshore opportunities, including HSBC, LGT, Julius Baer and more.
