The asset management arm of J.P. Morgan has formed a partnership with iCapital to expand its alternatives offering in Asia Pacific.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has partnered with iCapital to open up access to its private market offering for APAC wealth managers and their clients, according to a statement.
iCapital will provide its technology platform to facilitate the distribution of JPMAM’s select global alternative strategies. The strategies cover asset classes including private equity, infrastructure, transportation and real estate.
Longstanding Relationship
J.P. Morgan has a longstanding relationship with iCapital after first becoming its strategic investor in 2018. In 2023, the two initiated their first distribution partnership in Australia.
«At a time of unprecedented benefits and demand for alternative investments, we see significant growth opportunities in private wealth alternatives and believe the democratization of private markets remains a key growth driver for the industry over the coming years,» said Gary Leung, head of alternatives, APAC clients, JPMAM.
