UBS's Global Wealth Management division is positioning the GWM Solutions area to be responsible for client solutions.
With this initiative, Rob Karofsky and Iqbal Khan aim to enhance the service offerings and improve efficiency. After three months, the head of this division has now filled important roles.

Yves-Alain Sommerhalder (pictured above), who was appointed head of GWM Solutions (GWMS) in June, has taken the time to assemble his leadership team. According to an internal memo seen by finews.asia, Andri Frey has been appointed COO, Jean-Marc Löliger as Chief of Staff, and Daniel Garcia as Head of Business Risk Organization (BRO), all in addition to their current roles as CIO.

The newly formed GWMS Management Forum also includes Laura Huntley (HR), Jürg Zuberbühler, Jan Früh (both Finance), Sven Stucki, Penny Tsekouras (both GRC), Lisa Francomano (C&ORC), Renato Costantini (Legal), and Stefan Lutz (Audit).

Sommerhalder said the forum creates the foundation for a «truly integrated value chain.» This has led to the formation of a strong leadership team with extensive experience across key regions, products, and solutions.
