Real estate investment manager Hines has opened a new office in Jeonju of South Korea.

Hines has opened a new office in Jeonju, a city in western South Korea, according to a statement. The office will allow the firm to provide closer collaboration and more strategic support to the National Pension Service (NPS), a local partner for nearly 15 years, including investment management advice and capital market research and analysis.

«Establishing our Hines Jeonju office is a testament to our enduring partnership with NPS and highlights our unwavering commitment to client-centricity,» said David Steinbach, global chief investment officer at Hines.

Hines has been active in South Korea since 2013 when it opened its first investment management office in Seoul. Today, it has a portfolio in the country worth about $1.5 billion covering 200,000 square meters across office, industrial and logistics and mixed-use sectors.
