Ong Yeng Fang was still in her 20s when DBS sent her to Thailand to run its credit and marketing there. The experience of working in a different culture and learning a new language – including delivering a speech in Thai at a press conference – was an important lesson in people, the long-standing private banker said in an interview with «The Straits Times» last year.
