Danish vintner Peter Sisseck in 1995 founded his vineyard that stretches across a mere five hectares in the Ribera del Duero. From very early on, Robert Parker called the Pingus (100 percent Tempranillo) one of the biggest wines there are. This led the price to go through the roof. Today: about 900 francs a bottle.
