Geneva based bank Edmond de Rothschild has confirmed to finews.asia it has added a Managing Director to its Hong Kong office.
Christine Wong has been appointed as Managing Director of Edmond de Rothschild Family Advisory in Hong Kong. She joins from Asiaciti Trust in Hong Kong.
Wong has in excess of 16 years experience in the private client trust and wealth planning sector. Prior to joining Asiaciti Trust in early 2013, she was an Executive Director of a leading international insurance company, specialising in strategic insurance based wealth planning solutions for HNWIs in the PRC and North Asia.
She spent her early career with two Big Four accounting firms in Hong Kong, specialising in trust and tax planning for Hong Kong families, she speaks fluent Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
New Hong Kong CEO in 2015
In August last year the Edmond de Rothschild Hong Kong branch appointed Jing Zhang Brogle as the new CEO. Brogle was brought in to further develop the private banking business and product offerings utilising her own experience working in the multi family office area, and to build the business.
Zhang Brogle was head of Greater China at Swiss bank Vontobel where she set up its Asian private banking platform. Prior to that, Zhang Brogle worked for UBS Wealth Management in Switzerland as a senior advisor.
The new hire will strengthen the ambition of the bank in working closely with UHNW families across Asia, many of who are now experiencing generational transfers of wealth.
