UBS has announced the appointment of a new Head of Wealth Management South East Asia. The new head will relocate from Zurich and from 1 April will report to Edmund Koh, Head of Wealth Management Asia Pacific and the previous incumbent of the role.
In a note from UBS finews.asia has learned that August Hatecke (pictured left) is the new head. He joined a predecessor firm of UBS, O'Connor Associates, in 1992 and has held various leadership positions over his UBS career spanning more than 16 years. Before rejoining Switzerlands largest bank in 2010, Hatecke was Head of Private Banking for Credit Suisse in St Moritz.
In his most recent role, he was Head of Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) and Global Family Office (GFO) Switzerland where he together with his team substantially grew the business volume, drove innovation and delivered strong results.

The UBS South East Asia businesses has grown significantly over the last few years and it is expected that Hatecke's authoritative knowledge of the UHNW and GFO segment, his track record and his expertise in Investment Advisory, Derivatives & Risk Management, made him uniquely qualified to lead this important region in Wealth Management Asia Pacific.
