Eastspring Investments, the Asian investment management arm of the U.K.’s Prudential, has announced the recruitment of a new Chief Executive Officer for Eastspring Investments Berhad Malaysia.
With almost 30 years of industry experience, Raymond Tang joins Eastspring from CIMB-Principal Asset Management. In his new role Tang will be responsible for growing Eastspring’s business in Malaysia and further developing relationships with its clients.
Tang previously held a variety of senior roles at CIMB including Head of International and Institutional Business and Chief Investment Officer, ASEAN Region. Previously, he was the Chief Investment Officer at CMS Dresdner Asset Management.

Tang is currently the Chairman of the Malaysian Association of Asset Managers as well as the Chairman of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Advisory Committee. In addition, he is a Founding Director of the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center.
