M&G Real Estate recently restructured the portfolio management team of its core Asia property strategy. Now the global real estate fund manager has appointed a new Acquisitions Director in Asia.
Based in Singapore Jing Dong Lai will be responsible for the firm’s real estate acquisition activities; including sourcing and executing market transactions across its core Asia markets in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Korea, and Australia.
Prior to joining M&G he was Director & Head of Investments at Straits Real Estate where he managed an Asia Pacific investment mandate across multiple asset classes including office, retail and residential. He also held senior positions at Goldman Sachs Japan and Carlyle Asia Real Estate Partners in Hong Kong.
He assumes the role from Chiang Ling Ng, (pictured) who was appointed chief executive and chief investment officer for Asia at the beginning of the year. Lai takes up the role with immediate effect.
