Swiss bank UBS has created a co-leadership in Wealth Management Asia Pacific to better serve clients across the large region and to capture future growth.
Following the retirement of Kathy Shih and the appointment of Edmund Koh as President Asia Pacific and a member of the Group Executive Board, UBS has announced that Amy Lo and August Hatecke will succeed Koh as Co-Heads Wealth Management Asia Pacific, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia. These appointments take effect on Jan 1, 2019.
In their new roles, Lo will focus primarily on the bank's North Asia businesses and Hatecke on its Southeast Asia businesses. The bank believes this combination will allow to most effectively serve clients across the large region and to capture the growth to which it has committed.
