A former chief investment officer of Bank of Singapore has resurfaced to join Singapore-based Purple Asset Management as its managing director.
In his new role, Johan Jooste will be covering ultra-high net-worth and family office clients to best deliver Purple Asset Management’s (PAM) discretionary fund management solutions and independent financial market research.
Prior to joining PAM, Jooste was at Bank of Singapore for more than three years, including one as head of rates and two as chief investment officer (CIO). Previously, he held investment strategy roles with Azure Wealth, Julius Baer and Merrill Lynch.
Joint Venture
PAM was launched in October 2017 as a joint venture between Fry Group, a global financial adviser, and Independent Strategic Group (ISG) a fintech firm specializing in digital investment management solutions. In November 2018, PAM named 35-year veteran Gary Dugan, a former regional Coutts CIO, as its CEO.
«I am pleased to be teaming up with Johan again adding valuable experience to our team,» said Dugan in a statement.
