The firm continues the build out of the capability and coverage of its global Sustainable Investing Team in APAC, with the creation of a new role.
Investment manager Fidelity International has hired Daniela Jaramillo as it's Melbourne-based director of sustainable investing, according to an announcement on Wednesday.
Jaramillo joins the firm from Hesta, where she was senior responsible investment advisor. She will work with Fidelity’s investment team to integrate sustainability considerations into the firm’s investment process, and will work closely with Fidelity’s research function on its proprietary sustainability ratings, support engagement and voting activities with investee companies and contribute to the development of Fidelity’s sustainability product offerings.
She will also act as a spokesperson for Fidelity and represent the firm’s sustainable investing capabilities in Australia and New Zealand, the announcement said.
Growing Team
The appointment follows the recent hire of Gabriel Wilson-Otto from BNP Paribas, as director, sustainable investing, in Hong Kong.
Fidelity now has 13 specialists in its dedicated Sustainable Investing team in Asia Pacific across five markets, and 26 globally.
