The international investment arm of Fidelity has hired a former BlackRock executive to lead the Asia business.
Fidelity International has appointed Damien Mooney as managing director, Asia Pacific ex-Japan, according to a statement, effective October 28. In the role, he will report to Derek Young, global head of asset management distribution. Mooney succeeds Rajeev Mittal, who will leave Fidelity this month following a six-year tenure.
Mooney worked at BlackRock for 13 years, most recently as head of client partnerships and chief marketing officer for APAC. Previously, he spent nine years at Fidelity International in a number of senior roles, including regional head of marketing, APAC.
