The firm has hired a leader with 17 years of experience in P&C Actuarial and Strategy Operations, to better service its clients with data and analytics solutions across the P&C sector.
Swiss Re has appointed Monami Mukherjee as head of property and casualty (P&C) analytics, APAC, based in Singapore, the firm said in an announcement on Wednesday.
Mukherjee is an accomplished leader with a strong actuarial background, having focused on strategy and operation transformation, loss valuation, capital modelling, price optimisation, data analytics, M&A due diligence and regulatory reporting.
She previously held roles at Synpulse, Deloitte, Zurich Insurance, and Aviva.
Strong Potential
The Zurich-headquartered global reinsurer recently highlighted the potential for the P&C market in South and Southeast Asia, where penetration is low.
It said that digital P&C personal lines could reach a cumulative $7.5 billion in premiums over the next five years in South and Southeast Asia.
