The wealth management arm of Crédit Agricole Group is adding a 25-year veteran as a senior relationship manager to its Singapore branch.

Indosuez Wealth Management has appointed senior relationship manager Arthur Cheng as executive director, according to a statement, reporting to Alfred Low, head of North Asia markets and strategic partnerships.

Cheng has spent the last 16 years at senior levels in private banking. He previously held senior wealth management roles in DBS Bank Private Bank and BNP Paribas Private Bank in Hong Kong as well as UBS Taiwan.

North Asia as Core Strength

According to Indosuez's Asia chief executive Omar Shokur, North Asia is a key market and a «core strength» for the French private bank.

«We place a great emphasis on our business in the North Asia region, where wealth creation is exponential, by having strong local teams and global expertise to serve these sophisticated clients,» Shokur said.

«Our North Asia teams are a core strength of the bank, and this attribute is well-recognized by our high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.»
